      Founded

      Cameron Building Supply opens in Greer, SC.

      One yard, one truck, one phone. Orders written on yellow carbon-copy pads.

    2. 1986
      Merger

      Becomes Cameron Ashley after merger.

      Ashley Building joins. Two DCs and roughly 4,000 SKUs.

    3. 2002
      Expansion

      DC #3 opens in Dallas.

      First footprint west of the Mississippi. Texas roofing accounts double in 18 months.

    4. 2010
      Network

      Five-DC network goes live.

      Phoenix and Atlanta join the line - every market inside a 50-mile next-day truck route.

      Private label

      Canopy launches.

      Our private-label system - underlayment, flashing, the works - for spec-tight crews.
